Health & Safety

A safe and enjoyable experience is important to us. As you know, COVID-19 Cases are rising with the surge of the BA.5 variant and Santa Clara County's current COVID-19 risk is high. In an effort to protect all of our attendees, speakers, and staff, we have updated the required guidelines for this event to include daily testing. We will be providing test kits upon initial check-in for the entirety of the meeting but do request you take one prior to arrival on day one.

We ask that everyone coming to ICCF24 Solid-State Energy Summit at the Computer History Museum (CHM) observe the guidelines outlined by the event location host, the Computer History Museum, and Santa Clara County Health and Safety list below.

We are looking forward to being together in person next week and, thank you in advance for your time and understanding of the extra steps it takes to do our part as a community to help keep each other safe as we gather!

Prior to arrival on Day 1, we ask you to take the following step:

  • Perform a rapid antigen or PCR test within 24 hours prior to initial arrival at ICCF24. Confirm a negative test result via a photo to our Covid desk.

  • If you have a COVID Recovery Certificate or similar documentation, you may present that at the COVID desk. We will then ask that you allow your temperature to be scanned to confirm that you are no longer showing symptoms before proceeding to registration.

  • If you are unable to take a test prior to arrival on Day 1, please stay masked until initial/onsite arrival testing is complete. It’s advised to arrive 30 minutes early when you first join to take needed Covid safety steps, so we can get right into the conference.

On-site, we ask the following:

Perform a daily rapid antigen (provided at registration check-in or as needed upon request) prior to joining onsite sessions and follow defined protocols if you have a positive test or feel symptoms.

Follow any additional Covid safety protocols in place at the time of the event.

Proof of Vaccination: You will be asked to self-certify your vaccination status prior to arrival. Given Covid policies are constantly evolving, we ask that you bring your proof of vaccination in the case that it is required to demonstrate in person.

Testing: We will ask you to perform a daily COVID-19 antigen rapid test before joining that

day’s meetings. Tests and instructions will be provided upon check-in.

Masks: These are strongly recommended during the event. We will have masks on-site for

you to use.

Contingency plan: In the event that an attendee(s) tests positive for Covid, we will ask the attendee to self-isolate and join sessions virtually.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at healthandsafety@anthinst.org.
